Get motivated to lose the weight! You can do it!
I
call it "staycation". This is when I have a client who goes on a
vacation... and never comes back. ;-) In other words, they're gung-ho
about training and getting fit until they go on that annual vacation to
wherever and then everything just seems to go to pot. They not only
lose motivation while away, but they nearly always gain weight while
there! They come back home alright, but they never really return...
This was how my latest client Julie
handled her time away on HER vacation and also lost 3 pounds during her
trip!!
"It was hard, but not that hard. We went to the grocery store
the day after we got there. We're kinda homebodies, so it was easier to
choose healthier foods and just cook and grill our food instead of going
out all the time. Not to mention cheaper. So when we did go out I
allowed myself to cheat a little. Most of the tourist stuff we did,
involved some kind of physical activity be it; walking, climbing stairs,
etc. So it was easier than I thought."
Wow, all I can say is, "Way to
go, Julie!"
